Free AI Video Generators in 2026: What the Free Plans of Flow, Runway, Kling, Luma and Pika Really Include

Updated · By topai.one editorial team

Short answer: free AI video plans exist, but they come with real limits. Google Flow gives everyone 50 credits a day, but non-subscribers may be blocked at peak hours. Runway gives a one-time 125 credits with a limited set of models. Pika’s free plan has no monthly credits (packs only) and no commercial license. Kling and Luma reserve commercial use for paid plans. Watermarks, model access and commercial rights matter more than the credit number. Everything below comes from each vendor’s official plan pages and terms, read on October 18, 2026. We don’t list prices; follow the links.

What do free AI video plans include?

Credit counts below are as of October 18, 2026; Google notes “limits are subject to change at any time”.

How much can you make with Google Flow’s free credits?

Google’s credits page says: “With or without a subscription, you receive 50 Google Flow credits per day.” Unused daily credits “don’t roll over”, and the refresh starts from your first generation each day.

What those credits buy, per generation (non-Ultra rates from the same page, as of October 18, 2026):

  • Veo 3.1 Lite: 10 credits for a 4, 6 or 8 second clip
  • Veo 3.1 Fast: 20 credits
  • Veo 3.1 Quality: 100 credits, more than a full day’s free allowance
  • Gemini Omni Flash 720p: 7 to 15 credits for 4 to 10 seconds; 360p: 4 to 7 credits

Google adds that “all users can access Gemini Omni models”, and that Omni’s 360p mode runs “at half the credit cost of 720p” (Flow models).

There are two catches:

  • Peak hours. “During peak hours, roughly 2 PM to 5 PM UTC, you may not be able to generate videos without a subscription.”
  • Mixed messages on eligibility. Google’s getting-started page still lists a Google AI Plus, Pro or Ultra subscription as a requirement to use Flow. If Flow asks you to subscribe, that’s why.

Plus, Pro and Ultra add monthly Flow credits on top of the daily 50, rising by tier (Google AI plans). Full steps are in how to use Veo 3.1.

Which free AI video generators have no watermark?

  • Pika Free: the pricing page lists “No watermark” as included on Free (Pika).
  • Google Flow: every Veo, Omni and Nano Banana output carries an invisible SynthID watermark. A visible watermark is controlled by a “Visible watermarking” toggle. It is applied automatically for users in India, South Korea and Vietnam who aren’t on the Google One AI Ultra 20x plan (Flow Help).
  • Runway: “No watermarks” appears in the feature list from the Standard plan upward, not on Free (Runway pricing).
  • Kling: “Watermark removal” is listed as a paid membership benefit (Terms of Paid Service 3.1.2). Non-members must label everything they generate with Kling’s brand and logo unless Kling gives written permission (Terms of Paid Service 7.2, Kling).

Removing a watermark doesn’t remove provenance data. Luma’s terms, for example, forbid removing “watermarks, content credentials, provenance metadata” it embeds (Luma Terms).

Can you use free AI videos commercially?

This is where free plans differ most:

  • Runway: its terms say it “does not restrict your commercial use of your Outputs” and don’t distinguish plans (Runway Terms).
  • Google Flow: Google points to its Terms of Service: “Google won’t claim ownership over that content” (Flow Help).
  • Kling: without membership, “you may not use, reproduce, distribute, and create derivative works of, and make modifications to, the Output for any commercial purposes” without written permission (Kling Terms).
  • Luma: commercial use only “if the Outputs were produced during an active Subscription Term under Customer’s paid subscription” (Luma Terms).
  • Pika: commercial license “No” on Free and Starter (Pika pricing); its terms say use is “personal, noncommercial” unless your plan permits otherwise (Pika Terms).

How do you get more out of a free plan?

General tips, not test results:

  1. Draft cheap, finish once. Use the lowest-cost mode (Omni 360p or Veo 3.1 Lite in Flow, for example) to test motion, then spend credits on the final version.
  2. Use the shortest length that shows whether the prompt works.
  3. Don’t open extra accounts. Pika’s terms say “you must not create multiple accounts to gain additional access to a free or trial Plan” (Pika Terms). Account rules are just as strict for other AI subscriptions; see can you share a ChatGPT Plus account?
  4. Check the rights before you post. If the clip is for a client or an ad, a free plan may not allow it.

When is it worth paying?

When you need commercial rights (Kling, Luma, Pika), a specific model (Runway Gen-4.5 is paid-only), reliable access at peak hours (Flow), or no visible watermark. Compare tiers on each official page above. For which model fits which job, see Veo 3.1 vs Kling vs Runway. All guides are in the AI video tools hub.

FAQ

Is there a completely free AI video generator?

Not one without limits. Google Flow gives 50 credits a day, Runway gives a one-time grant of 125 credits, and Pika's free plan has no monthly credits (credit packs only). Free use usually comes with fewer models, peak-hour limits or no commercial rights.

Which free AI video generator has no watermark?

Pika's pricing page lists No watermark on its Free plan. Google Flow adds an invisible SynthID watermark to every output, with a visible watermark controlled by a toggle (automatic in some countries). Runway lists No watermarks as a Standard-plan feature, and Kling lists watermark removal as a membership benefit.

Is Veo 3.1 free?

Not in the Gemini API, where Veo 3.1 is not available on the free tier. In Google Flow, everyone gets 50 daily credits and a Veo 3.1 Lite clip costs 10 of them, but Google warns non-subscribers may not be able to generate videos during peak hours.

Can I use free AI videos commercially?

It depends. Runway's terms do not restrict commercial use of outputs. Pika's Free and Starter plans have no commercial license, Kling requires written permission for non-members, and Luma limits commercial use to outputs made during a paid subscription.

Does the Gemini app make videos for free?

No. Google's help page says that to generate videos in Gemini Apps with a personal account you must have a Google AI plan.
